Cono Sur 2009 Pinot Noir

A wine more like a Cab than a Pinot Noir.

A medium to pale violet colored wine, with a light structure to it. Faint berry notes for your nose, and similar notes for your palate. It's most distinguishing feature is its very dry taste (almost arid), much more so than most Pinots I've tasted. It tends to throw this wine out of balance and finish. It's almost like a Cab in several respects. A better dinner wine than sipping wine I fear, unless you really like Cabs.

Pennywise 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon

Pennywise and perhaps pound foolish. A relatively capable wine, and relatively cheap.

Rock Lobster 2008 Old Vine Zinfandel California

Mmmmmm - A tasty and not too expensive Zinfandel...

Alice White 2008 Shiraz Australia

As a Shiraz goes, unremarkable, but not awful like many an Alice White wine....

Alice White 2008 Chardonnay Australia

Frankly, a rather unlikeable Chardonnay. Most of my notes were rather negative for this wine, or maybe I was just cranky.
