Texas Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

Frankly, some better choices for a Cab might be: Llano 2004 Cab Sauvignon, Rothschild 2003, or Aaku 2004. All less than this price.

It’s a clear, bright ruby-violet colored wine but with a punch of astringency. There are some good berry notes to the wine, but not much of a nose. The wine seems to have a more coarse taste than its stable mate the 2006 Syrah. The astringency seemed to throw the balance off. Better perhaps for dinner.

Like most Cabs, not for the fairer sex. Except for the price, I'd drink it on a regular basis.
