Frankly, some better choices for a Cab might be: Llano 2004 Cab Sauvignon, Rothschild 2003, or Aaku 2004. All less than this price. It’s a clear, bright ruby-violet colored wine but with a punch of astringency. There are some good berry notes to the wine, but not much of a nose. The wine seems to have a more coarse taste than its stable mate the 2006 Syrah. The astringency seemed to throw the balance off. Better perhaps for dinner.
