I picked this one up (as a split) at the checkout of World Market of all places. It turns out to be a very good Chardonnay, IMHO. It's a clear, bright, pale to light yellow color wine with with some decided sweetness for a Chardonnay. There's some oak here perhaps as there is some tree fruitiness too, (pear perhaps?) with a very nice balance and finish. Not so much a wine for dinner, but definitely one for sipping on a hot summer day, like today. Alexander Valley |
