Bohemian Highway 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon California

Ah, my first ever solo gig under my own monicker, and what do I review?

Cheap Swill!

As the drunken lecher here, I somehow feel it's my job to sample, and review on, the best of the worst (and the worst of the worst). And, boy is this one! It's a California wine in a tempting price point so maybe that explains the lack of ...

It shouldn't be drunk by itself. Alone it's tart and bitter, but combined with roasted chicken, blue cheese, and avocado, it's surprisingly good. Which is generally the key with cheap wine, find a complement to overcome its swill shortcomings.

The boys might groan, but they will drink it. I can't identify any sprite, nymph or even human tart that would put up with this.

Bacchus speak:
A pretty, dark ruby colour with almost no legs to speak of.

Like Congress, I shall revise and extend Silenus' remarks. In a few words, likable and agreeable. It's certainly better with food, my choice was some 18 month old Gouda and crackers. I apparently liked it better than Silenus did, giving it (at least in my mind) a C+ or B-. And I did finish the bottle, so it can't have been really terrible.

[Uhm... I can't figure out if this is an industry hit or not? Did someone working for this winery post this? We'll leave the comment up, as it is mildly amusing.]
