Not a bad one. In fact, for $4, better than some Merlots I’ve tasted. It would be interesting to see if this wine improves in a year or two... It’s got a clear bright ruby-violet color with some wine structure. Couple that with some nice blackberry and berry notes a balance and finish and you’ve got a Merlot that could be worth drinking everyday. I wonder how it would rate against “Two Buck Chuck”?

Canyon Oaks Merlot
I've tried both the Canyon Oaks and Charles Shaw Merlot and the Canyon Oaks is quite a bit better.
