Francis Ford Coppola Directors 2008 Chardonnay

Overall, not a sipping wine or a dinner wine. There are too many flaws. Consider something else.

It's a clear, bright pale yellow wine with not much structure to it. There are some light fruit notes to the wine and some better ones for your pallete, but overall it's a wine neither good for sipping or dinner. There is an OK balance and a short finish but not much else. The whole effort comes accross as weak overall, watery comes to mind. With not a lot of acidity and little else to complement it, this wine falls flat. Not bad perhaps for the 2nd bottle you might offer you guests, but certainly not the first. Consider Hob Nob or Alexander Valley as other choices. One is a bit more expensive, but worth it,IMHP.
