They say love is lovelier the 7th time around --- oh wait, that Liz Taylor's marriages. For me, love seems to be lovelier for a Riesling that's better the 2nd time around, at least for me. Originally reviewed when it was first bottled and released. It's a clear, bright straw-yellow to yellow color wine with a light to pale depth. It's much like a typical Riesling, sweet in all the right places, nice finish, good balance, and a real good wine for summer. There's plenty of fruitiness to the wine -- very little citric, mostly tree fruit, with a sweetness that is mellow to supple, not sugary. Good for sipping on the veranda or patio and rather chilled. Not really a dinner wine. Plan accordingly. Hogue Alcohol: 12% by volume |
