Messina Hof 2004 Tawny Texas Port

Not quite the typical tawny port....it comes off more like a sherry, but a pretty good sherry....

It is a rather pale but lovely tile red color, with fruity notes for your nose, unlike the typical dried fruit notes for a port. This one perhaps a somewhat raspberry taste than anything else. And apparently a bit of a mineral taste at the end, not terrible, if a bit unexpected but the taste overall, relatively smooth. Certainly a desert or aperitif wine more than anything else....

There once was a wonderful German-Texan woman who won the heart of a young Italian-Texan. it was a cold, dark day in January when they met she brought light into his heart and soul. Together, they travel an endless journey toward everlasting joy and love, hand-in-hand timelessly--a marriage of love and dreams. Song by Paul Bonarrigo. our Tawny Port and its union of art represents the marriage of two family heritages. Enjoy this port as a desert for that special occasion...
