The Continental Airlines wine pick at 34,000 feet, in coach class. I still think I prefer the Hayes Ranch Chardonnay, but those guys have no reason to listen to me. It's a clear, bright if a somewhat shallow yellow wine. There are some distinctly tree fruit notes to the wine, but I can't seem to be more specific than that. It's not too astringent and, overall, a rather nice drinking wine, but like a lot of wines you get in "steerage", not something you rave about. Better as the 2nd bottle perhaps than the first and better as a sipping wine than a dinner wine, but just. Redtree |
