Santa Rita 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Chile

As Cabs go, a pretty good one, but drink the whole bottle after opening…

A clear, bright deep purple colored wine with some light to moderate structure to it. There are pronounced berry and perhaps black cherry notes for this one, both for you nose and palette. There’s also a very pleasing astringency and some well modulated tannins that seems to give this wine a lingering finish with an OK balance. It could pass as a dinner or sipping wine. It’s not a wine for the 2nd day, as I had a glass on day two and it just wasn’t as good as the first day, even when using a wine preserver.
