A wine reviewed while whiling away the hours at a local Austin watering hole. Not a spectacular wine, as it needs (at least for me) something more for my taste buds. But you have to love the name, and yes, it does have a screw cap closure. It’s got a clear, bright straw-yellow color with little or no structure to it. There are some mildly citrus notes to the wine that you can detect, and maybe even taste, but frankly they need something more here for me. There’s not too much oak, and it’s not especially sweet, but it has some good balance, if a short finish. Grade: C+ Price: $9 |
