Solera 1847 NV Sherry Oloroso Dulce Spain

A possible and cheaper replacement for the 10 year port you might be drinking these days. This one too is aged in oak for 10 years, and to good effect apparently, judging from my taste buds!

It's a clear, bright mahogany-amber colored sherry with light to medium depth. There's not so much for the nose but much better pickings for your palette including a definite dry fruit with a hint of caramel. This one is a sweet variety but it's a mellow sweetness. Aged in oak 10 years just like some ports you know, which may give this sherry a run for the money as far as ports are concerned.
