It smells red. It drinks smooth. I don't have a color wheel, and I wish Bacchus was here to do this part of the review. Probably why I have so few solo reviews. Also, this bottle was opened last night, so in the grand scheme of things consider this a review for the bottle having aged a year. The color is deep and red-purple. Hmm, per the cheat sheet, red-purple would be Ruby. Okay, fine. And continuing to use the cheat sheet ;0 ... It's Clear and Deep. The aroma is Positive, but not Identifiable. The taste is Fruity?, Spicy?, Floral? with maybe a whiff of Chemical, but that may be from the dishes I was just doing... The Acidity is Refreshing, while the Sweetness would be Medium-Dry. Soft Tannins, a Medium Mouth feel, and a Good Balance. The Finish is good (okay "Acceptable") and the Length is Medium-Short. Okay, enough of that already! (But aren't cheat sheets wonderful?) It tastes good. I can see whiling away an afternoon and a bottle at the same time or just having a glass with a hearty lunch. And I believe Jorge Ordonez is becoming my personal hero, as he selects some of the best cheap wines I know...
At six bucks a bottle, lay up several cases... A better choice might be:
