Yalumba 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon South Australia

Not a bad wine, but one that could do with another year to two before drinking, if possible.

Llano 2005 Chenin Blanc Texas USA

It’s drinkable wine from Texas. Try this one instead of the typical White Zin you might be uncorking tonight.

Cavit 2006 Pinot Noir Italy

Frankly, not the best Pinot Noir I’ve tasted, but a typical effort for Cavit. Try a Lorval or Tortoise Creek Pinot from 2005. They are both better, IMHO.

Yvecourt 2005 Sauvignon Blanc Bordeaux France

It’s a somewhat typical Blanc but made with Bordeaux grapes. Light, in almost every respect as far as typical Blanc’s go. But it’s a nice summer wine.

El Portillo 2004 Syrah Mendoza Argentina

The worst I’ve tasted tonight. It’s another problematical wine from Argentina. I don’t have a clue what the “Wine Bible” has to say about the region. Hopefully, it’s not “and up and coming wine region.”
