Beringer Third Century 2006 Syrah

The worst of the "Beringer Suite" wines I've tried of late. Two words: "Try elsewhere."

Famega 2005 Red Wine Portugal

Famega, isn't that Portuguese for "forgettable"? How forgettable? Silenus and I left a half a glass each to the wine gods.

Pabiot Puilly Fume 2006

The worst I had that evening. Try elsewhere!

Flat Creek 2005 Super Texan Sangiovese

Not the best Sangiovese I’ve tried. There are tastier versions out there.

Wild Vines Strawberry White Zinfandel California

Another wine from the rather large stable of Gallo, and in a nutshell, it’s a girlie wine. The wine is cloyingly sweet like several Zins I’ve tasted, but with something that at least tastes like strawberry added. Two curious notes: it’s the only wine I’ve ever seen with a nutrition label, and the list of ingredients says it doesn’t contain any juice. So were exactly did the strawberry taste come from?
